 Meditation reduces stress and improves concentration. Come learn and  practice meditation, mindfulness,  and yoga in a gorgeous country home located in an isolated wooded setting.

 BODY: HATHA YOGA TO PREPARE THE BODY FOR MEDITATION

BREATH: TOAIST YOGA BREATHING EXERCISES TO          CONCENTRATE ENERGY

MIND: BUDDIST MINDFULLNESS PRACTICE

Zen instructor David Ledeboer has trained with Korean Zen and Tibetan Buddhist masters for 22 years in the U.S, Europe and Asia, including 3 years as a Buddhist monk in Korea and 16 years residing in meditation centers. He studied in the Korean Zen tradition with Zen Master Seung Sahn, in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition with Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, and Taoism with Bruce Kumar Frantzis and the Venerable Hyon Nung Su Nim.

David was a Senior Dharma Teacher in the Kwan Um School of Zen for 8 years and was Head Dharma Teacher at several centers. David also spent many years practicing Taoist yoga and chi-gung in both the Korean and Chinese Taoist traditions, and is certified in Hypnotherapy and Acupressure Massage. David currently does shamanic massage in California, and just returned from 6-months living and studying with native healers in Ecuador and Peru. 

David has extensive experience teaching workshops and leading meditation retreats, including for beginning students.  His personable style and gentle sense of humor help provide easy entry into age-old techniques for easing stress and developing our mind and body.

                8:00-9:00                breakfast
                9:00-12:00              meditation training and practice:

                1:00-2:30                 mindful walking meditation
                2:30-3:00                 cookie break
                3:00-5:30                Taoist yoga and meditation: "awareness of breath"                                6:00-7:00                dinner
                evening                      bonfire and astronomy tour (weather permitting)

                1:00-2:00                lunch and final discussion session                  
               afternoon                free time for individual practice or for walking in the                                                                       beautiful spring woods.

PRICE:                       
For full weekend: (2 nights in single or double room, 6 meals, instruction, bonfire, astronomy) -$200

For day students: Friday 6:30-9:00 pm, Saturday 7:00-5:00 and Sunday 8:00-2:00 (6 meals) -$100

We can provide child-care information. Please bring your own meditation cushion, if possible.  No perfumes please.
