Introducing the Whiterock Resort!
In mid-February 2007 Garst
Farm Resorts was donated by Liz Garst and her family to the Whiterock
Conservancy and it was renamed the Whiterock Resort! While the name has
changed, the experience has not! You can still visit one of Iowa's
premiere outdoor destinations to relax in our clean and comfortable
accommodations, canoe the beautiful Middle Raccoon River, recreate on our 4,300 acre privately-owned land, or
simply gather the family for a long weekend of fun activities at one of
our cottages. So
come on out to Whiterock Resort this summer to enjoy one of Iowa’s truly
wonderful places!

Our accommodations include the historic
Garst Home Farm Lodge,
Cottages, Campsites and a Family
Reunion Country House all located on a 4,500 acre private and beautiful river valley in west central Iowa.
Soviet Premier Khrushchev visited this farm in 1959.
The Resort offers
outdoor recreation. Rent a canoe, mountain bike, or
gator. Take a tour of commercial or alternative agriculture, learn about
prairies, astronomy, raptors, local history and more. Try out one of
the fishing ponds (stocked with bass, bluegills and catfish) , take a hike, try bird watching
or go on a hay rack ride. Visit the buffalo herd
and the unique gift shop. Stroll the expansive gardens, and admire the family
antiques and Khrushchev photo collection.

superb facilities .... golf course, swimming pool, disc golf, bowling alley,
