Wildlife at the Resort is
abundant. Find deer, wild turkey, woodland and water birds, pheasants, raptors
and more.
Habitats at the Resort
include woodland, prairie, pheasant habitat, wetlands, pastures and crop ground, scattered
over our 4,500 acres.
Guest Comments give you
our flavor. We do our best to make sure you leave happy.
History of the Resort includes not only a brief history of the Garst Farm, but also history of
the Whiterock Valley, and a history of Coon Rapids. For older history,

OUR MISSION
Whiterock Resort has three goals:
provide all guests a comfortable, entertaining and authentic
experience
promote the economic well-being of residents living in the Coon
Rapids area
preserve and protect the Resort's beautiful land and the heritage
of the Garst Family
The Resort is
modeled on international eco-tourist principals
- the economic benefits of tourism are distributed broadly into the community, and used to
preserve and protect the community natural resources. The surrounding Community
is an important part of Whiterock Resort. Fascinating
activities are offered by multi-talented
neighbors. Guests are encouraged to dine, swim, bowl, golf and shop in Coon Rapids. Gift
shop products have a connection to the local area. Locally
grown food is used when ever possible. Contractors, employees and
vendors are hired from this area. This commitment to
the community is returned by the community ... you will find warm hospitality from whomever you meet
here.
